WHAT PEOPLE THINK ABOUT WOMEN IN SOCEITY?

All talk and no action!! This is the state of women’s situation in our society today. When we talk to the public in society they speak positive things about women but when times come they criticise the women’s very cheap way. Different people with different mindset can be found in our society.

The progress of society in regard to women:

Men are superior and women inferior.

  • Women going out are unsafe. Sure they will bring in some money, but what will happen if something happens to her? No one will marry her.

  • There is a simple no of women going out even if they can do everything of their own.

  • Women should work and earn if they want but only as long as family needs or allow it. If family does not want it then she must sacrifice her career.

Roots of a person lay at home. Home is the place where it begins and the actual place where this problem can be solved. Still most of the families in India have the mindset that a girl child or a woman should get permission from them. If the origin of the girls is thinking likewise then what can be said to other people in the society. Most men and women do not appreciate a man doing household chores. His manhood is questioned and he is assumed to be timid and unsuccessful in his career. And the same thing done by their boy is right. The boy child of the family never takes permission and if sometimes they do then they argue with parents and don’t respect their parents. But that’s okay with the family because they are boys, they will be the next ruler or the family legacy will be held by them.

Most people think that nature has made women only for fulfilling men’s need for sex and producing children. They think God made women for men’s sidekick. They do not have any intellectual abilities. Therefore best they can do is to stay at home and take care of their “natural” duties. The most disappointing thing of our society is being a women, some of them supports these kinds of nonsense. A woman should understand to be supportive and stand with the decision of her girl child but instead of that they encourage their husbands and the male members of the family to take decisions for their girls’. Unfortunately, this thinking has been deeply rooted in Indian society. Result has been the oppression of women class so much so that now many women accept it as their natural fate.

People think that being a good mother, sister, and daughter-in-law is “the goal” of their lives. Women take pride in obeying men of their house and continue to follow what the elders say without questioning it even once. Home situation is worst when it comes to supporting women; they support to show people/society that we are going with the generation or the trend. Families should not discourage their girls, they should encourage their girls to take their own decisions and support them with that. If she does not want to cook then don’t force her. Let her do what she likes to do. As you tell your boy to make his own decision and do what he likes. And this will be progressive when families will make it happen.
